Bishop Message

A school is a place where the God-given talents of the students are recognized, nurtured, led to flourish and fructify.
St. Francis Convent Senior Secondary School, Dera Baba Nanak has achieved over twenty five years a culture of excellence and hard work. It has been “magis”, a term meaning a constant and relentless struggle to go beyond, to push further and further the contours of our own limitations. I feel glad that St. Francis has made its mark on this historical town’s psyche. Today this institution symbolizes the nobility of search of the human spirit under the guidance of the Divine. It is God who ultimately reveals the depths of our resources and strengthens our spirits to strive to ever higher levels of excellence.
If St. Francis Convent Senior Secondary School is what it is today, it is because of the excellent men and women who have staffed the School over the past twenty five years. It is also because of the men and women who have been trained there all these years.
May God bless St. Francis Convent Senior Secondary School  yet more, may God bless the students, alumni, the staff and the administration.

The Director’s Message

St. Francis Convent Senior Secondary School, since its establishment in 1992, has earned very considerable appreciation for providing value-based education and for imparting the ideals of academic excellence, sense of discipline and high moral and ethical values, leading to the development of integrated personalities. The motto of the school “SCIRE ET AMARE” (TO LEARN AND TO LOVE) is reflected in its faith that education is a process of awakening individual potential to creative knowledge inculcating in them the desire to excel in various spheres. It is extremely noteworthy that the institution considers it to be ‘its duty to nurture its students as sensitive people with strong values, who will leverage their individual achievements to strengthen the fabric of the community, the nation and the planet’. Our school deserves appreciation for giving a good education with many activities. We are committed to impart effective & Qualitative education.
I convey my good wishes and thanks to everyone associated with the school and for their tireless work and support to make this institute a successful one. Lastly I would like to say that “Anything is possible if we are willing to put in the effort “.

From the Principal’s Desk

The tiny lamp lighted in1992 by His Excellency RT. Rev. Dr. Symphorian Keeprath, Bishop of Jalandhar Diocese continues to shine and eradicate the darkness of ignorance with the light of knowledge. Braving the storms and enjoying the sunshine, this school has become a light house of knowledge and learning.
Our school has blossomed over the years due to the team work of Congregation of Sisters of Nazareth, Fathers, teaching and non-teaching staff, students and parents. Beginning as a tiny little school, it has now become a full-fledged high school catering to the needs of the students coming from various backgrounds. What learnt in the cradle lasts to the tomb. Therefore the main aim of the school is to impart an overall formation to the children entrusted to us. Our school grows not only in number but also in quality and discipline.
Students are prepared to cope up with the changing world and technology. Smart Class facility is provided to the students to face the world with full conviction. Special attention is provided to co- curricular activities such as P.T. , sports, elocution, debate, recitation, S.U.P.W. , painting, science exhibition, G.K. quiz competition etc.
Much has been achieved and many more is yet to accomplish. We have only just begun. We need to grow much more to reach zenith. We must forge ahead yet and must attain newer heights. I pray that may the Almighty God help us in our endeavors.
